A new role awaits Are you enthusiastic about government policy and delivery and making changes to systems that improve the lives of people with disability? We have an exciting leadership opportunity available in the Ecosystem Reform and Governance (ERG) Branch as EL2 Director Ecosystem Reform.

The Ecosystem Reform and Governance (ERG) Branch leads the NDIA's involvement in reforms to the disability ecosystem.

The ERG Branch provides analysis and advice to inform and influence the development, negotiation and delivery of future-state intergovernmental agreements and programs that interact with the NDIS, ensuring these reforms restore the intent and integrity of the NDIS while enhancing outcomes for people with disability.

The ERG Branch also coordinates whole-of-Agency engagement in the governance structures and processes that drive and enable reform, including the Disability Reform Ministerial Council (DRMC), Commonwealth Budget process, and secretariat support to the NDIA Board.*Please note – Affirmative Measures provisions are also open for this position.

The affirmative measure positions are to improve employment opportunities for people with disability and Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander people in the Australian Public Service.

You will have the opportunity to work on a diverse range of tasks, including, but not limited to:
Developing policy analysis and advice in partnership with the DSS and other Commonwealth departments
Influencing design and decision-making of reforms to the disability ecosystem.
Ensuring team performance and reporting requirements are met within legislative timeframes.

We intend to fill this role in an ongoing capacity, however non-ongoing roles up to 12 months with the possibility of extension up to 2 years may be offered.

A merit pool will be established that may be used to fill similar positions (ongoing and non-ongoing) within the next 18 months

Successful candidates will be required to undergo a pre-employment National Police History check, Worker Screening check and/or Working with Children Check (where required) and provide evidence of Australian Citizenship.
