The Role

An opportunity has become available for a Fellow (Vascular and Endovascular) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.

You will

  • Undertake clinical care of inpatients and outpatients who are under the care of, or referred to the Department of Vascular Surgery
  • Take an active role in teaching, research and audit in the Department of Vascular Surgery
  • Review inpatients daily and at the request of medical staff, nursing staff, patients or families
  • Responds to consult requests from other specialties within 24 hours
About you

To be successful in this position you will require:

  • A Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in Vascular Surgery (or overseas equivalent) and be eligible for medical registration in Australia
  • AHPRA Registration
  • Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against
  • Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella (Chicken Pox), Pertussis (Whooping Cough), Hepatitis B and COVID 1
  • Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
  • Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed

Salary

  • Temporary part time (12 months with the possibility of extension)
  • Base salary ranging from $ $82.99 per hour

The unit services the entire Gold Coast and Northern New South Wales area. Based in Southport.
