We have an exciting new opportunity for a Project Officer to play an important role supporting Aboriginal heritage assessment and engagement for the National Parks & Wildlife Service infrastructure program, conservation works and capital works projects.

About the role


National Parks and Wildlife Service has a unique opportunity for a Project Officer to work as part of the team contributing towards the conservation of the natural environment, flora, fauna and aboriginal heritage.


As a Project Officer, you will be responsible for providing diverse project management and related support services, including preparation of reports and briefs, coordinating resources, maintaining project documentation, implementing and monitoring project plans.

You will undertake research and analysis, identifying trends and preparing project briefs, to support informed decision-making and planning.

About you
You will be able to demonstrate your ability to meet deadlines and undertake multiple projects. You will have strong project management and coordination skills and have previous experience in a similar project officer role. You enjoy working as part of a team but are also able to work alone or with mínimal supervision.

Your project management experience, good communication and time management skills and sound people skills will help you excel in this role.


Essential requirements

  • Appropriate tertiary qualifications and/or equivalent relevant working experience in project management.
  • Experience in development and delivery of projects, including the development of project plans, monitoring of project timelines, budgets and reporting requirements, and contract administration.
