Project Officer

Location - Parramatta

Employment type - Ongoing Full-Time role

Salary - $101,947 pa - $112,849 pa, plus employer's contribution to superannuation and annual leave loading

Your role


The Project Officer performs project management and support activities to contribute to the development and delivery of a range of projects within SSCX, in line with established objectives.


There is a requirement to prepare and maintain project documentation, including reporting, regular communication with stakeholders, facilitating the exchange of information and contributing to the successful completion of deadlines.

What you'll do

The Project Officer performs project management and support activities, contributing to the development, delivery and success of a range of projects within SSCX,

The project officer is responsible for:

  • Preparing and maintaining project documentation, including project plans and briefs
  • Preparing and distributing regular project status reporting
  • Prepare and maintain project documentation for reporting, monitoring and evaluation purposes to
  • Communicate with key stakeholders and coordinate working groups, committees and consultations to facilitate exchange of information and support project completion in line with project plans
  • Source, collate and compile data and information to identify emerging issues and track and report on project progress against established milestones and deliverables
  • Undertake research and analysis, identifying trends and preparing project briefs, to support informed decisionmaking and planning


Shared Services and Customer Experience (SSCX) is focused on enhancing our customer experience by partnering in the delivery of value-added shared services and performance solutions.

The Service Management Assurance unit provides Payroll Production and Reporting, Organisational Management, and Service Assurance activities within Shared Services.

What we're looking for


Someone who has previously worked in a shared services environment and / or has been part of operational projects (preferably not IT) and is a good team player who can work with stakeholders at all levels.


as well as someone who:

  • Has completed Project Management studies
  • Experience in a Shared Services transactional environment
  • Experience working on large projects, playing a critical role in the successful delivery of the project
  • Strong Communication skills
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills
  • Excellent time management skills
  • Good attention to detail
Knowledge of Finance and Payroll transactional processes in ERP systems (ideal but not essential)
