An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Project Officer to join the Customer Programs team within the Revenue NSW Fines and Debt Optimisation & Project Delivery unit.

The Customer Programs team leads a number of large-scale projects, delivering the Fines Transformation Program for Revenue NSW.

Through these projects, we seek to improve the end-to-end experience and overall outcomes for all customers interacting with us regarding fines - with a focus on system integrations, streamlined processes and increased functionality for the end user.


Some of the key responsibilities include:

  • Co-leading and supporting the progression of projects within the team
  • Coordinating a range of projects using sound project management principles (Agile, with an understanding of Waterfall and hybrid delivery)
  • Supporting the Senior Project Officers and Principal Advisor (Program Manager) within the Customer Programs team
  • Having excellent communication skills and being able to manage customer and stakeholder expectations
  • Cofacilitating workshops and collaboration sessions
  • Leading the preparation and informationgathering ahead of monthly project steering committees for each project
  • Researching and analysing information and recommend solutions, preparing project briefs and other project related documents using tact and problemsolving skills
  • Developing project documentation including options papers, delivery plans and monthly project reporting for multiple projects (including project financials, resourcing, scheduling and general status updates)
  • Demonstrating your ability to work to deadlines and balance competing needs which are continually evolving

To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:

  • Experience in delivering customer outcomes while leveraging Agile methodologies
  • Project support/management experience
  • An understanding of government projects will be highly regarded however not essential

Salary Grade 7/8, with the base salary for this role starting at $101,497 base plus superannuation
