About the role:
We are currently seeking an experienced Training Support Coordinator to join our Technical Training Team and work directly with our Apprentices and Trainees as they progress through their respective development programs with us.
This role will be employed in a permanent capacity based at an agreed location within the regions of which our network operate in.
This is a critical support role to the development and maintenance of our high-volume annual Apprentice and trainee intake and programs, including activities such as recruitment, induction, coordinating, monitoring, coaching and reporting.
In addition this position will track the progress of our Apprentices and Trainees as they progress through on-job and off-job technical training and competency assessment.
What you'll deliver:
- Manage the induction of Apprentices while continuing to seek improvements in process
- Coordinate the enrolment of apprentices and trainees in their respective training programs
- Monitor and report on the work performance of apprentices and trainees to ensure competency requirements for qualifications are being met within required timeframes
- Provide counselling and career guidance to apprentices and trainees to encourage career development
To succeed in this role, you'll have:
- Trade or Technical based Qualification
- Certificate IV in Workplace Training and Assessment (If not already held ability to obtain)
- Knowledge of trade and technical development programs
- Previous experience in electrical trade or technical role with leadership experience (desirable)
- Previous experience in coordinating the recruitment and training of trade or technical resources
- Experience in improving processes and developing solutions to the needs of the business with excellent consulting and implementation skills
- Previous experience thinking and acting in an innovative and strategic manner.
- Very strong interpersonal skills with high influencing, negotiating, counselling, and networking skills.
