The Opportunity

Based at Macquarie Centre, the Administration & Collections Assistant is an onsite and customer focused role, working in a supportive and harmonious team. On offer is fantastic growth opportunities for a career in retail management

This role requires the confidence to have frequent face to face and phone contact with tenants, in relation to arrears rent payments. You will provide effective support to the Macquarie Centre Administration team, through timely collection of debtors, arrears and associated financial support.

You will make an impact by

  • Manage tenant arrears collection.
  • Minimise and control overdue and current debt by adhering to collection procedure and developing an effective communication flow with retailers.
  • Perform tenant reconciliations where required to facilitate the reducing of centre debt and close out of aging issues.
  • Assist in preparation arrears reports in an accurate and timely manner for the inclusion in daily, monthly & quarterly reports.
  • Assist with the process of monthly (recurring) billings generation in line with head office timetable, ensure accuracy of the rent roll.
  • Audit tenancy schedule against executed lease agreements, check for accuracy and update Yardi as required.
  • Check all current tenant and contact and billing information, reflect any changes in current contact databases.
  • Assist with direct recoverable/miscellaneous invoicing.

About You

You will have a strong customer focus, a driven nature and the ability to effectively manage challenging conversations. Ideally, you will come from a retail / property background and have experience in an Administration or Customer Service role with an arrears focus.

A key to your success will be your attention to detail, ability to work in volume and strength with numbers, including the ability to perform reconciliations.
