What will your typical day look like?

Deloitte's Workplace Integrity professionals specialise in driving innovative, data-informed solutions to complex IR problems. We help our clients with end-to-end IR including:

  • IR strategies
  • Fair Work and industrial legislation compliance
  • Employee & Workplace Relations frameworks, processes & controls to enable sustainable industrial compliance and the successful implementation of IR strategies

As a Senior Analyst in our team, you will play a pivotal role influencing, advising and supporting our clients across a diverse range of industries including ASX listed, government, and private companies. Every day you will work to mitigate business risks.

We work as a team with expertise in IR, data analytics, process and controls, payroll and workplace strategies. As an IR specialist, you will advise on and contribute to the design of innovative solutions and you will learn from our experience, giving you an opportunity to grow your expertise and skills navigating the complexity of the Australian IR landscape for clients.

About the team

The Workplace Integrity team is a part of Deloitte Risk Advisory team in Australia. Together, we have experience across multiple industry sectors in IR, employment law, workplace relations, payroll and data analytics. We deal with the complexity of Australian workplace legislation and frameworks, and provide an objective lens to support our clients, tailoring solutions that are fit-for-purpose. We take a pragmatic approach to the interpretation and application of industrial instruments, applying a risk and data perspective to make a real impact for our clients.

We are looking for talented people with a passion for IR, the Fair Work system and a natural curiosity to solve complex client problems aligned with business strategies and supported by data. An interest and experience in long service leave legislation across Australia will be highly regarded.

You are smart, agile, open-minded, and pragmatic in your interactions with our diverse range of stakeholders. You have practical experience interpreting industrial legislation and are adept at translating complex, technical IR information into simple, understandable concepts that all stakeholders can relate to. Above all, you are someone with the utmost integrity, who holds confidentiality and discretion at your core.

You may have all or some of the following skills and experience:

  • Experience in IR and employment legislation compliance;
  • Strong knowledge of Australian employment laws including the Fair Work Act 2009;
  • Interest and experience interpreting State and Territory based long service leave legislation;
  • Excellent eye for detail and ability to think logically, critically, and to solve problems with a risk lens;
  • Demonstrated ability to think "outside the box" and a passion for simplification and process improvement whilst embedding IR compliance;
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, in particular, the ability to contextualise and communicate complex IR concepts accurately and in terms all stakeholders can relate to;
  • A collaborative and consultative approach to teamwork with a natural curiosity for new ideas and perspectives to achieve innovative solutions; and
  • Tertiary and/or higher education qualifications in IR or Employment Law.
