As a Kitchen Training Facilitator with Australian Venue Co., you will provide day-to-day leadership and training to both venue and head office teams. Your primary aim is to optimize business performance, ensure venue compliance, and foster a positive workplace culture.

Primary Activities:

  • Deliver a variety of operational training to AVC employees, covering company policies, procedures, hospitality skills, customer service, leadership, and soft skills.
  • Provide ongoing support and guidance to AVC employees and management in navigating company training plans and schedules.
  • Seek feedback, reflect, and contribute to the development of training materials and continuous improvement of the Training Team's delivery.
  • Collaborate with contracted RTO's training support teams and the AVC training manager to ensure exceptional service and customer experiences at our venues.
  • Deliver both accredited and non-accredited training, maintaining the highest possible standard.
  • Conduct online assessments, support students, and venue teams directly.
  • Assist with online training, mark assessments, and provide feedback to students/respond to student queries.
  • Support teams with operational training standards as needed.
  • Coordinate industry-based workshops and/or demonstrations in collaboration with the Kitchen Training event planner.
  • Identify talent and guide venue teams in offering career progression and strategic succession planning.
  • Develop succession training plans with venues to support the career growth of both traditional and non-traditional employees.
  • Create a safe and engaging training environment that encourages non-traditional groups to consider career paths in our venues.

Attributes and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience or qualifications in training and assessment advantageous.
  • Extensive experience within the hospitality industry, particularly in leadership and kitchen roles.
  • Proven experience in high turnover customer service environments.
  • Demonstrated experience in business development and strategic hospitality management.
  • Strong team and leadership skills.
  • Confidence and experience in public speaking.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to learn and adapt to changes effectively.
  • Positive attitude towards workplace culture and the organization.

Hours of Work:

Negotiated to ensure adequate customer service to Group RTO's customers and training staff.

Includes 1 x Saturday per month and 1-2 late afternoon/early evening shifts per week.
