The Opportunity:


At Komatsu Australia, we are looking for a driven Workshop Technician to join our team You will be in charge of diagnosing and resolving mechanical problems as well as maintaining and repairing Komatsu machinery and equipment as a Workshop Technician.

Our hourly rates at Komatsu Australia are competitive, and we pay double for all overtime hours put in.

In order to help you develop your skills and stay current with the most recent developments in the industry, we regularly offer RTO (Registered Training Organization) training opportunities.

We are committed to investing in the growth and development of our employees.

Will be 40 hours per week, (38 hours + RDO), between 7:30am - 4:06pm. Komatsu uniforms will be provided.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Machine servicing, diagnostics, and repairs.
  • Ability to demonstrate an appropriate level of technical understanding of the design & function of Komatsu equipment.
  • Workmanship is completed to a professional standard and in a timely manner.
  • Liaise with the customer where appropriate and report on the customer interaction.
  • Ensure unused parts are returned for credit in a prompt timely manner.
  • Ensure that timesheets, service reports and relevant documentation are completed accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that all parts removed from machines under warranty are tagged and secured in the designated area.
  • Ensure that company tools are used and maintained correctly.

The Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Relevant heavy vehicle trade Qualification, however Automotive Trade Qualifications will be considered.
  • Prior experience and exposure to earthmoving equipment (desirable)
  • Hold full Driver's License (desirable)
  • Hold/Ability to obtain relevant licenses (desirable)
