About the Role


In your new role as our Branded Retail State Manager for NSW/ACT, you will be accountable for the overall of customer, sales, profitability and business objectives for all Optus Branded Retail including all company owned and branded partner stores.

Reporting to the Vice President - Branded Retail, you will be responsible for leading, coaching, inspiring and mentoring the State Retail leadership team, working with store franchise/ business partners to ensure they operate their stores effectively and maximising store sales performance and championing customer experience.

Your Responsibilities

  • Develop & execute a State People Strategy to build the best team who can deliver on the business AOP
  • Develop a high performing & inclusive team with a strong customer focus to ensure that people with the right skills and motivations to meet business needs are in the right place at the right time
  • Lead the team to collaborate and work across functions, stores and departments to achieve results
  • Ensure that all regulatory, compliance and industry requirements that Optus is to meet are being adhered to within your State
  • Commercial Acumen keep abreast & share key retail, market & financial trends we are always on the lookout for opportunities for new products, services and markets
  • Proactively build and align stakeholders' capabilities, and resources for getting things done quickly and effectively

About You

  • Demonstrated capability in innovation, cost management & resourcing utilisation
  • Strong analytical and conceptual skills with commercial competence, particularly sought at understanding customer needs
  • Demonstrated ability in influencing & negotiating with executive stakeholders
  • Strong leadership and ability to drive team performance within a large diverse workforce
  • Extensive Senior Retail leadership experience leading multisite operations
  • Welldeveloped financial acumen, including balance sheets, P&L and cash flow and Capital budget management
  • Champion & rolemodel in articulating Optus Purpose and Vision, underpinned by Values & behaviours
