What you'll be doing
The position provides a dietetics service to patients/client/consumers across the Illawarra Shoalhaven Local Health District.

The position will provide high quality inpatient and/or outpatient nutritional care and counselling for referred patients/clients/consumers and act as a consultant for health professionals in the area of nutrition.


This is a temporary Part time 22 hours per week leave relief position until 30 June 2024 with the possibility of extension.


All NSW Health workers are required to have completed an up-to-date course of a COVID-19 vaccine (2 doses) which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA).

New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW.

Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Please provide proof of vaccination if available.

Selection Criteria

  • Eligible for full membership of the Dietitians Association of Australia.
  • Broad range of recent inpatient and outpatient clinical experience.
  • Demonstrated commitment to the provision of high quality dietetic services including individual and group consults.
  • Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work productively in a team environment.
  • Demonstrated understanding of and experience in quality improvement and service evaluation processes.
  • Current NSW (or equivalent) Class C drivers licence.
