About the Role:

Do you want to be part of team that works state-wide and remotely across all internal stakeholders, one that will be involved in ensuring proactive contribution to the development, implementation and evaluation of communication and media engagement strategies and plans, providing communication advice to business clients, and developing and delivering content for a range of platforms including the Choice and Control podcast, traditional and social media, web, eNewsletters, video and more


The
Communications Officer role is all of this and more The role will ensure that communications are effective, targeted, credible, and with a focus on traditional and digital storytelling.

This position will raise the profile of the Program with media, NDIS potential participants, community organisations and mainstream businesses. This position will need your ability to articulate a strategic vision and hit the ground running as we are experiencing a new growth as an organisation

What can you bring to this role?:

  • Due to the nature of the industry, your tertiary qualifications in Communications, Journalism or Screen and Media, is highly valued
  • You can easily demonstrate effectiveness in the delivery of communication and engagement projects and outcomes that assist a team or program to deliver program outcomes while ensuring alignment with strategic objectives.
  • You have proven experience in copywriting and proofreading, with digital media skills beneficial.
  • You have a high commitment to supporting the individual needs, skills, abilities and personal goals of people with disabilities. (Lived experience will be highly regarded).
  • Highlevel communication skills, including the ability to develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders (including families of participants).
  • Current Queensland open driving license or ability to undertake regular travel as required.
  • References and suitability clearance/s required by legislation.
