The Polestar Planning Order and Delivery Manager will be a professional with extensive experience from sales planning, vehicle distribution and car dealer operations who will lead our Planning, Order and Delivery unit and thereby take responsibility for delivering strong business results and driving functional excellence.

You will be overall responsible for day-to-day operations of vehicle distribution and managing local inventory.

What you'll do

Sales & Operational Planning:

  • Responsible for local Sales and Operational Planning.
  • Enhance consistent sales and performance management by acting as a Polestarambassador in the organization and in engagements with our network partners and other stakeholders.
  • Understand the underlying business drivers and manage boundaries between the Planning, Order and Delivery unit and other relevant part of the organization.

Vehicle Delivery / Logistics:

  • Oversee the movement, distribution, and storage of vehicle inventory and parts. Planning and facilitating deliveries of new and preowned vehicles to Polestar locations and direct to internal and external customers.
  • Establishing and maintaining delivery standards.
  • Liaising with Third Party Logistics providers, Polestar locations and partners, Polestar Customer Service and Polestar Customer Care to ensure delivery operations are meeting and exceeding Polestar customer experience standards.

Third Party Logistics (3PL):

  • Establishment, maintenance, and audit of Standard Operating Procedures and KPIs.
  • 3PL audits assess both vehicle processing centres and transport operations for adherence to procedures and performance against KPIs.
  • Resolving technical concerns on new vehicles prior to customer delivery.
  • In coordination with Polestar homologation and certification, Logistics, OtD, and Product Planning teams, ensure that VPC operations satisfy all regulatory requirements for vehicles.
  • Manage quality holds and rework in conjunction with Polestar Quality.
  • Arrange technical training and systems access for 3PL staff and mentor as required.

Order Management:

  • Control release of all vehicle orders to production scheduling.
  • Prioritise production in accordance with business priorities.
  • Control new vehicle stock.
  • Maintain monthly forecasts of shipments and sales potential.

Shipping & Customs:

  • Maintain monthly forecasts of vehicle arrivals and share the information with key internal and external stakeholders.
  • Control flow of customs & shipping documentation between export department, local customs broker and third party logistics provider.

Reporting / Other:

  • Manage monthly sales reporting and submissions (i.e. VFACTs).
  • NEVDIS submissions (per export shipment departure).
  • RAV submissions (per export shipment arrival).
  • KPI reporting for third party logistics provider.
  • VIN Specific Data (VSData) submission.
  • Be contact point towards HQ OTD and logistics teams.

Strategy:

  • Drive the development of the unit to enhance functional excellence, including adopting strategic initiatives and ensure the use of new functionalities and tools as well as owning the continuous improvement agenda and local delivery efficiency.
  • Develop and implement operational plans and set concrete targets for responsible area.

Who you are


We seek a highly competent team player with solid experience from the Sales Planning and Vehicle distribution field and with an excellent understanding of end to end supply chain.

You can handle multiple tasks, maintain focus and adapt easily to changing business needs.

  • Master or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Supply Chain/Logistics or equivalent.
  • Minimum 35 years' experience in the automotive field or related.
  • Problem solving entrepreneurial attitude, a strong sense of organization, time and resource management.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills and data driven decisionmaking.
  • Proven project manager qualities with ability to lead process implementation and project full cycle.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience from value chain operations or other large and complex companies is a great advantage and / or experience from the automotive industry.
  • Excellent written and verbal English skills.
