About the position:

YHA Grampians Eco is looking to hire a Receptionist/Housekeeper to join the crew on a flexible basis. We are seeking an individual who can assist in both front desk operations and housekeeping duties. The team handling front desk and housekeeping plays a crucial role in ensuring guests are well taken care of and that the property is consistently maintained to the high standards expected of YHA accommodations.

Responsibilities on a day-to-day basis include:

Front desk: Providing exceptional customer service to guests of the property, enhancing the welcoming and friendly ambiance, addressing guest inquiries and offering valuable local insights and recommendations, checking guests in and out and providing them with information to enhance their stay experience, handling any guest issues or conflicts and escalating them to the appropriate management personnel when necessary.

Housekeeping: Tasks involve refreshing common areas, bathrooms, and guest rooms, maintaining kitchen areas, monitoring and restocking supplies, and ensuring the property remains spotless.

  • Prior experience in front desk reception, customer service, and commercial cleaning within an accommodation environment.
  • Effective time management skills and the ability to perform well under pressure.
  • Availability to work on a flexible 24/7 roster, including night shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Fully entitled to work in Australia with no restrictions.
