Company Accountant - Media/Advertising - North Shore

Company Background

Our client is a smaller advertising/media agency. They have lovely open-plan offices, a stable team and loyal long-term clients.

You will enjoy a family feel culture where people have been with the business for years, work well in collaboration and are supportive of your personal commitments.

The Role

This role reports to the Founder of the business with the support of their External Accountants. It can be 3-4 days a week, worked in a way that suits your personal commitments. They do prefer most of the time to be in the offices.

Tasks will include:

  • Working with client services to forecast expected revenue from client jobs & projects
  • Assisting with the annual budgeting process, including variance analysis at the end of the year
  • All month-end close tasks, bank and GL reconciliations, journal entries, accruals
  • WIP and jobs reconciliations
  • IAS, BAS, FBT and Super lodgement and compliance
  • Payroll
  • Accounts Payable and receivables, this includes media payables & reconciliations

Your Background

The ideal candidate for this Company Accountant role is someone who:

  • Has worked in advertising, media, design or some other creative industry is the preference. If not, you have worked sole charge in a small business
  • You have full month-end accounting experience, plus budgeting and forecasting skills to be able to do this role independently
  • Excellent communication & great interpersonal skills are an absolute must
  • If you can start in the next 2-3 weeks that will be highly regarded by the client so you can handover with the incumbent
