About the Role:


Our client, an Australian Electrical Distribution company, is currently seeking a full-time Internal Sales/customer service administrator to join a close-knit team in their growing branch located in Port Melbourne.

Duties:

  • Customer service and sales support, including telephone and counter sales, and provision of information and assistance to customers.
  • Ensure that all orders, invoices, and purchase orders are entered into the system in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Processing, picking, packing, and despatching of customer orders.
  • Management and booking transport and couriers.
  • Manage relationships with the existing network of customers.
  • Actively seek out new sales opportunities for new business.
  • Assist with inventory management and stock control.
  • Assist the other team members where needed during busy periods i.e. loading and unloading trucks, receiving and checking goods against purchase orders, and other ad hoc duties as required.

Skills and Experience:

  • Previous internal sales & customer service experience required, ideally with a wholesale & distribution company
  • Computer literate in MS Office, experience in other CRM systems is desirable
  • A "cando" attitude, highly motivated, eagEr to learn
  • Able to demonstrate initiative and work unsupervised
  • Experience in the electrical industry or electrical wholesale background would be advantageous but not mandatory
  • Time management & excellent organizational skills
  • Must have working rights for a permanent role in Australia.
