About the Position

This department works in partnership with government and non-government organisations to embed the department's mission to improve the wellbeing of individuals and families in Australian communities.


The Funding Arrangement Manager is responsible for the planning, administration and conduct of funding arrangement activities; gathering and analysing evidence to assess funding recipient performance and identify risks, issues and improvement opportunities, and developing relationships to support productive partnerships.


Duties
Key responsibilities of the Funding Arrangement Manager include but are not limited to:

  • Contributing to environmental monitoring activities.
  • Supporting / conducting high quality administration of funding arrangement performance assurance activities.
  • Gathering and analysing evidence, supporting performance assurance by identifying opportunities, gaps, risks, etc.
  • Identifying and contributing to the development of improvement opportunities and developing relationships with funding recipients and stakeholders.
APS5 positions are key in meeting the KPI's for the department, reporting analysis and management of risk.

Key tasks include:

  • Data analysis
  • Performance management
  • Risk management including updates of risk assessments for organisations
  • Provision of local intelligence to the client agency
  • Negotiations with a range of key stakeholders including providers and/or client agency
  • ICT management of agreement milestones
