The Opportunity

We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Risk Manager - Strategy to join our Legal and Governance team on a permanent basis, this position can be based in Brisbane, Melbourne or Sydney.

As part of the Group Risk team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a framework for governance and oversight on strategic risk, including projects and initiatives that are core to the Group's growth strategy. This role will be responsible for developing and implementing robust risk management strategies, working closely with project teams, various stakeholders and leadership teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct risk assessments to identify, evaluate, and mitigate potential risks associated with strategy execution
  • Work closely with cross functional teams (i.e. commercial managers, project managers, engineers and construction teams) to ensure the integration of risk management practices seamlessly into planning and execution of strategic projects and initiatives
  • Ensure risk management practices align with regulatory requirements and best practices, including working with Group Compliance to maintain current SoCI risk assessments and ongoing uplift in maturity
  • Stay abreast and monitor relevant industry standards and regulations

About You

  • Proven risk management experience in infrastructure project risk management, preferably within a publicly traded company (energy or energy infrastructure)
  • Proven experience in facilitation of executive level risk workshops and reporting
  • Strong understanding of risk management principles, methodologies, and best practices
  • Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make informed decisions in complex and dynamic environments
