The company
Due to consistent growth, this well-known and trusted national distributor of LV switchgear, energy distribution, energy management, protection and wiring accessories is seeking a Senior Sales Engineer, to target projects in the mixed-use residential and commercial projects in New South Wales.

The position
The core focus for this role is to identify and build relationships with the key stakeholders for these projects, such as the electrical contractors, architects, electrical consultants/specifiers, and electrical engineers.

To achieve this, you will need to have existing relationships in these markets, along with strong sales skills and habits – planned with call cycles, a good awareness of upcoming projects in the region, ability to work autonomously, great communication skills and a desire to provide exceptional service.

Duties include:

  • Developing the project sales pipeline and promoting company products/services and solutions.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to identify upcoming projects and supply products.
  • Project manage internal stakeholders to ensure clients requirements are met.
  • Effectively using their CRM to record customer engagement and market insights.
  • Preparing monthly sales forecasts and annual sales plans in conjunction with the State Manager to ensure the business's objectives are reached.


Your key skills and competencies will include:

  • An electrical trade or engineering qualification is preferred, but not essential.
  • Sound product knowledge of low voltage electrical distribution including switchboard building and relevant standards.
  • Proven selling ability in electrical industry experience – relationships with wholesalers as well as Tier 2 & 3 level contractors.
  • A structured and planned approach to sales management
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
