The Role


Bandit Security Pty Ltd is currently seeking dynamic and experienced customer-service oriented Monitoring Room Operators to join our team on a full-time permanent basis.

The role will be based at our head office in Brooklyn, Victoria. We operate on a rotating roster with 8-hour shifts including day, afternoon and night shifts.

All staff are paid above level 5, SSIA rates and are also provided the opportunity to take home extra earnings with generous uncapped commission.


Your main duties will include (but are not limited to):

  • Attending to inbound/outbound calls.
  • Monitoring and responding to vehicle thefts and liaising with law enforcement to recover stolen vehicles (Australia & USA markets)
  • Monitor CCTV, duress, alarm and access control systems.
  • Provide a consistent level of exceptional customer service.
  • Data entry and administration tasks in accordance with our internal procedures along with compliance of external legal requirements
  • Managing and providing a resolution to customer enquiries and service requests
  • Liaising with law enforcement and emergency services, internal & external stakeholders.

Skills and experience

  • Strong customer service experience (retail, hospitality and previous call centre experience is advantageous)
  • An excellent phone manner, with a polite, friendly, and positive attitude
  • Strong communication, literacy, and numeracy skills; with a high level of attention to detail and the ability to liaise with internal and external stakeholders and senior management
  • Strong organisational skills: the ability to multitask and prioritise duties
  • Strong problem solving and decisionmaking abilities
  • You must be resilient and able to work in challenging scenarios.
  • The ability to work as part of a team, or independently when required
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office, and general IT/Typing skills
  • Strong knowledge of security software and systems
  • Availability to work across a variety of shifts 7 days a week

Mandatory Qualifications

  • Victoria Security License (Monitoring centre or control room preferred)
  • Victorian Driver's License
  • Must have full working rights in Australia
