About the Role
***As the Operations Centre / Coding Manager you will be responsible for managing all staff within the Centre ensuring accurate and quality work outputs across the workflow process. You will manage resourcing for the team to ensure that all production deliverables are completed on time, within budget and at a quality standard. This role will involve the management of both casual and permanent employees. This role is ideally suited to a well organised, results and detail-oriented person who enjoys motivating people to do their best.

The role is part of the Operations team and offers excellent career progression in operations management.

Your day-to-day work may include:

  • Manage the Coding, Scanning, Printing and Materials Handling teams by monitoring performance, learning and development opportunities and ensuring that team members are motivated, engaged and promoting team work.
  • Liaise with the operations teams to ensure all production deliverables are completed accurately and on time, including the notification of delays.
  • Create and maintain schedules and manage resources to ensure deliverables are met, including scheduling of out of office work, as required.
  • Liaise with other production departments to ensure efficient, accurate, and cost effective job scheduling and processing.
  • Liaise with research teams in relation to questionnaire and code frame design, implementation, and standards of best quality.
  • Maintain Coding/Grading/Printing/Scanning manuals and projectrelated information, including costing details, problem lists, and recommendations for improvement.
  • Ensure accurate time keeping for all jobs and additional files, such as excel spreadsheets, are kept as required.

About You
To succeed in this role, ideally you will have:

  • Experience managing a team, preferably within a market research or operational environment
  • Experience in office production such as coding, scanning, printing and materials handling
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and an effective communicator
  • Excellent organisational, time and resource management skills and able to prioritise and manage conflicting delivery deadlines
  • Good understanding of (or willingness to learn) Coding, including proficiency in ANZSCO and ANZSIC coding
  • Familiarity with data entry, field work, questionnaire designs and scanning would be beneficial
  • Flexibility and willingness to work as part of broader teams
