The Project Nurse
  • Acute Service Development Unit, will play an important role in supporting a range of service development and planning programs, to address service gaps and respond to the changing needs of the Tasmanian community

The Role:

  • Contribute to the development of robust project plans for the Acute Service Development and Planning Unit across targeted areas in the THS that consider and incorporate the current political, social, and professional environment locally, nationally, and internationally.
  • Develop and review policies and procedures, and Models of Care that influence best practice and clinical innovation within the Acute Service Development and Planning Unit.
  • Liaise, consult, and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to lead, facilitate, inform, and evaluate clinical redesign and project management.
  • Lead, coordinate, and support projectrelated committees associated with the functions of the Acute Service Development and Planning Unit clinical redesign initiatives.
  • Contribute to high level reporting and documentation for the Acute Service Development and Planning Unit and Hospitals South, Hospitals North and Hospitals North West Executive in support of clinical redesign initiatives and projects.


The successful applicant(s) will play a lead role in supporting areas that encompass a broad range of clinical specialties, including and not limited to, Cardiology, Renal, Cancer, Surgical and Perioperative, and Endoscopy Services.


The Team:

  • The Department's Health Planning unit engages and works collaboratively across the whole of the Tasmanian health system to initiate and support reform programs to improve service delivery and patient outcomes.
  • The team facilitates clinical innovation and improvement through clinical and consumer engagement and supports the development of models of care and service frameworks to reflect contemporary practice.


The Project Nurse
  • Acute Service Development Unit, will play an important role in supporting a range of service development and planning programs, to address service gaps and respond to the changing needs of the Tasmanian community
.

  • The role will work with stakeholders at all levels of the organisation to understand their needs, and ensure that they have timely access to outcomes, experience, activity and performance data and information to help drive improvements in service delivery.
  • The role will be supported by senior nursing leadership to develop key skills and capabilities to deliver positive outcomes and includes professional development opportunities.

Details of Appointment:

Permanent, full time, day worker position working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible.

Location:

Statewide - Tasmania

This is a statewide position involving intrastate travel. Your primary work location may be located in the Southern, Northern or North Western Region.

Salary:

$104,735 to $111,334 per annum + 10.5% superannuation
- _Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Agreement 2019_

In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available:

  • Post Graduate Allowance of up to 7.5% based on qualification type
  • Professional Development Allowance of up to $750 per annum

Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria:

  • Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse
