An opportunity exists for an experienced HSEQ Manager to join our growing team to play a crucial role implementing and controlling safety across all projects.

The successful candidate will oversee multiple projects across South East Queensland and at times in other regions and driving HSEQ procedures across projects. In this role, you will be given the autonomy to lead, improve and implement procedures to ensure works are carried out to a high standard, ensuring quality and safety are industry leading. The role will be supported by an established and proven leadership team who will support and mentor where required. This is a HQ based role with some site travel as required in line with projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manage and administer HSEQ management systems, including preparation of a calendar of project HSEQ requirements,
  • Conduct project inductions and facilitate HSEQ prequalification requirements for all personnel.
  • Advocate for compliance and lead by example,
  • Conduct regular reviews, inspections, and audits,
  • Conduct Toolbox Meetings,
  • Notify, investigate, and report incidents in a timely manner, including implementation of corrective actions,
  • Promote risk management, and the identification of opportunities for improvement,

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years experience in HSEQ role.
  • Tertiary qualification in Occupational Heath & Safety or proven experience.
  • Previous Construction experience is essential.
  • Sound knowledge of National Safety Laws, WHS Acts and Regulations, and Workcover injury management.
  • Experience with Hammertech and Procore preferred but not essential.
