AWX Executive is looking for a HSEQ advisor for one of our clients in Brisbane.

The HSEQ Advisor will be responsible for providing support and assistance in Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) matters during the specified period until October.


The HSEQ Advisor will primarily focus on ensuring compliance with safety protocols, conducting inspections, delivering toolbox presentations, addressing software issues, following up incidents, and assisting with administrative tasks as directed by the HSEQ Manager.

Key responsibilities will include but not limited to;

  • Deliver toolbox presentations to employees and contractors, ensuring effective communication of safety guidelines and procedures.
  • Utilize the Rapid system to monitor and address incident and contractor software issues promptly.
  • Attend to assigned actions from the HSEQ Manager promptly, completing tasks within specified timeframes.
  • Attend tunnel closures to maintain a safety presence and ensure adherence to safety protocols by contractors and employees.
  • Provide guidance and support to individuals regarding safety procedures and emergency response protocols during closures.
  • Conduct regular inspections to identify potential hazards, noncompliance issues, or unsafe practices.
  • Document findings accurately and recommend corrective actions to mitigate risks and improve overall safety.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Relevant certifications or qualifications in HSEQ or related fields are advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of HSEQ regulations, standards, and best practices.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively deliver toolbox presentations and communicate with stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in using the Rapid system or similar incident/contractor software.
  • Detailoriented with the ability to conduct inspections and identify potential risks or hazards.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
