About the Role
Reporting to the Chief Risk Officer and General Counsel, your focus is providing efficient and effective legal administrative services and support for the group, to ensure a high level of quality with key processes.
This role is 2 - 3 days per week and can be located in our Melbourne or Sydney office. This role is suitable for Legal Assistants/Secretaries or Paralegals.
Responsibilities
Format, mark-up, proof-read and collate documents Electronic file management Coordinate calendar of risk assessments and audits Coordinate and arrange meetings including video conferencing via Microsoft Teams Liaise with staff in various roles around the firm in an efficient and professional manner Record incidents and near misses in the risk register, monitor & follow-up until closure Support the group to implement and maintain reports to monitor & track group activity Compile periodic risk and compliance reports for internal stakeholders Review internal policies to be updated and automate alerts to internal stakeholders Maintain materials provided by internal subject matter experts on key regulatory compliance areas on the firm's internet Collaborate with internal stakeholders, to respond to reasonable client requests for assurance of our compliance with our various commitments and regulatory obligations Coordinate training sessions on regulatory risk and compliance areas Undertake and participate in other risk and compliance project work as requiredAbout You
A working knowledge of MS Word, Outlook, Excel & PowerPoint and SharePoint Certificate in Legal Studies desired but not essential At least 2 years of administrative support experience gained in a law firm Knowledge capturing and data management Exposure to practice and document management systems desired but not essential Excellent verbal and written communication skills, spelling and grammar Proven ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with people at all levels throughout a professional service firm Good file management Excellent collaboration and teamwork capabilityCulture
