We're looking for an experienced Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) specialist to join BFS as our DEI Program Manager. This role is critical in continuing to drive our progress in DEI and create an exceptional employee experience.

As the DEI Program Manager, you'll be central to delivering the strategic initiatives that support the business DEI goals.

This dynamic role consults with and influences a range of stakeholders across BFS, Macquarie Group and external organisations, providing guidance, support and information to shape BFS' culture.

The DEI Program Manager acts as an advocate for DEI, championing and role modelling inclusive behaviour and engaging others to become active champions.

The Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Program Manager is responsible for:

  • Delivering initiatives aligned to annual DEI priority areas, to continue progressing our BFS DEI goals
  • Executing key initiatives across BFS, including but not limited to the DEI Annual Report and Strategy, BFS wide presentations, recognition of key dates of significance, communications and Executive Committee presentations and engagement
  • Partnering with and providing support to BFS Talent, Human Resources, Recruitment, Internal Communications and Learning & Development to ensure people processes, policies and activities embed a focus on diversity, equity and inclusion
  • Supporting the Employee Network Groups, consulting and advising executive sponsors, cochairs and volunteers to deliver high impact outcomes, fostering collaboration and encouraging the groups to continue to evolve their mission and strategies
  • Regular diversity reporting and analysis of data to generate insights and present these to the business and leadership teams
  • Engagement with Voice of Employee program to track and report on diversity, equity and inclusion metrics
  • Providing timely and effective advice, thought leadership and direction to support the business in delivering a diverse, equitable and inclusive organisation
  • Working with global and regional DEI teams to inform Macquarie Group DEI strategy and activities, sharing BFS learnings and representing BFS on projects such as the Macquarie Reconciliation Action Plan and Accessibility Action Plan

Your skills and experiences

You'll have strong written and verbal communication skills, with a proven ability to build strong relationships, consult, influence, and advise senior stakeholders and business leaders.

You'll have experience in designing and implementing sustained cultural change initiatives, with a customer centric, creative, and collaborative approach.

Strong analytical thinking capability and ability to translate data into insights and practical recommendations.

Ability to work effectively and productively to manage a broad range of responsibilities under mínimal supervision as well as to take direction.

Importantly, you'll have an understanding of and passion for diversity, equity and inclusion.
