The Perth Glory Football Club is a prominent Australian professional football club that competes in various leagues under licence from the Australian Professional Leagues (APL).
With a successful history in national competitions, we are currently seeking a General Manager Commercial to lead partnership development and drive commercial sales growth for our football club.
POSITION OVERVIEW:As the GM Commercial, you will report to the Chief Executive Officer and be responsible for developing and implementing commercial strategies, acquiring new partnerships, maintaining existing relationships, and maximizing commercial investments.
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:- Develop and implement commercial strategies aligned with the CEO's direction
- Acquire new partnerships and retain existing sponsors
- Build and maintain relationships with sponsors
- Enhance targeted sales activities for long-term sustainability
- Maximize corporate sponsorships and investments
- Identify new revenue opportunities
- Collaborate with various departments to create engagement opportunities
- Drive development of marketing and sales collateral
- Oversee management of corporate events
The successful candidate should have a minimum of 5 years' experience in sales leadership, tertiary qualifications in relevant fields, strong negotiation skills, and networking abilities.
Strong communication, time management, and presentation skills are essential for this role.
A current Driver's License is required.
