Fraud Investigation Officer

Suncorp Group are currently seeking an experienced and proven Fraud Investigation Officer to Provide effective, professional support to the fraud investigations team based in Brisbane on a Permanent full-time basis.
This is a hybrid role requiring 50% attendance at our Brisbane offices. Staff are required to be available to receive calls from customers between 9-4pm Monday to Friday.

What you'll do:

  • Conducting noncomplex investigations into disputed payments.
  • Answering calls from customers, discussing account activity and providing empathetic support.
  • Manage the team inboxes, filing correspondence on case files and escalating matters to senior staff as appropriate.
  • Liaising with other banks to secure recovery for Suncorp customers, and return fraudulent funds received to source.
  • Complete and submit supporting evidence as required including written reports, statements, police briefs and recommendations to business line owners.
  • Dealing with requests from law enforcement and other parties seeking information from the bank. Production of bank documentation as required by third parties under legal order or notice ensuring compliance with court orders, subpoena, notice from authorities, law enforcement and regulatory obligations.
