In collaboration with the Australian Defence Force, supporting the Defence Maintenance Contract (DMC), Ventia is currently in search of a Technical Supervisor at Bandiana Defence Base.

The role of Technical Supervisor involves leading and overseeing tradespeople to deliver maintenance outcomes focusing on performance, quality, compliance, and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervising trades personnel to ensure work meets standards.
  • Effectively allocating resources by liaising with stakeholders and contractors.
  • Conducting scheduled inspections.
  • Investigating and reporting incidents.
  • Establishing and nurturing communication with the management team to enhance operational procedures.
  • Ensuring compliance with Ventia and contract-specific safety and quality assurance programs.
  • Performing administrative tasks such as new employee inductions, managing training records, approving leave, and maintaining attendance records.
  • Providing leadership, development, and training support to staff, identifying training needs and reporting to the Site Manager.

Profile Requirements:

  • Background in mechanical trades with relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated leadership and supervisory skills.
  • Advantageous to have experience with MILIS/SAP.
  • Excellent communication, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to coach and lead teams.
  • Australian citizenship and the ability to hold a Defence Security Clearance.
