Senior and Principal Policy Officers

Are you passionate about working with Policy, Legislation, Ministerials, and Briefings?

We currently have contract openings for experienced senior Policy Officers and Cabinet & Parliamentary Support Officers with a government background and strong policy, briefings, and ministerial support skills. If this sounds like you, keep reading.

Duties and Responsibilities include:
  • Updating existing policies, reviewing against current and new legislation
  • Developing and drafting new policies
  • Leading research and analysis for policy papers and consultation material
  • Managing internal and ministerial briefings, reports, and policy discussion papers
  • Preparing parliamentary briefings and cabinet submissions
  • Undertaking general administration and project support tasks

Ideal Candidates will have:

  • Experience in policy development and legislation within government
  • Ability to work in diverse teams and remotely
  • Strong research and analytical skills to provide judgment and advice on critical issues
  • Extensive stakeholder engagement and the ability to offer advice on complex matters to executives and ministers
  • Government experience or a legal background (highly desirable)
