We are seeking an experienced Senior Policy Planner to join our dynamic Urban Planning & City Shaping Team. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of our city through the development of innovative urban planning policies.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide expert advice on complex urban planning policy, including spatial planning, land-use, density, and built form.
- Employ a strategic approach to develop policy formulation that encompasses economic, social, environmental, and physical considerations.
- Prepare and provide advice on Planning and Design Code Amendments, including detailed research and analysis.
- Highly developed written skills and the ability to effectively research and analyse data to report on and convey complex information.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with strong organisational and project management skills to manage project timelines and objectives.
- Detailed technical knowledge of SA's planning system and policy development procedures, together with experience in the preparation of Development Plan and Design and Code Amendments.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with stakeholders.
