This position requires someone that is confident leading change in a complex environment, building collaborative relationships and developing and mobilising talent to strengthen capabilities in the workforce.

It is offered as a full-time opportunity with flexible working conditions and modern offices in the centre of Brisbane near the Botanical gardens.


In this role, you will:

  • Develop and articulate a strategic vision for IT Services, ensuring emerging business needs are addressed, new initiatives are embraced and alignment with whole of government strategies.
  • Identify and manage internal and external resources to plan, develop and deliver ICT services.
  • Ensure that Treasury's endpoint fleet is effectively managed and supported to achieve agreed levels of service, security, and performance.
  • Manage the relationship with clients, providing strategic advice to Treasury executives and senior management on ICT issues and opportunities.
  • Lead and deliver results through effective business planning, resource & vendor management, business discipline and accountability.
  • Understanding of Information Security standards and controls such as ASD's Essential 8 cyber controls and how they are applied.
  • Excellent communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to build, manage and mobilise teams.
Whilst no mandatory qualifications are needed for this role, however, relevant qualifications in Information Technology would be highly regarded.

Our branchInformation Services delivers Corporate Information Technology, Facilities and Procurement services to Treasury and provides the focal point for building out key technology and innovation capabilities, including the development and implementation of ICT strategy and key systems.
