The purpose of this position is to support programs in accordance with the National Quality Framework (NQF) across all centres.


The Pedagogical Coordinator will support with the development and implementation of the Educational Program and Practice across Early Education and OOSH services.

Under the direction of the Pedagogy and Practice Manager, the Pedagogical Coordinator will work collaboratively with Area Service Managers, Centre Directors, Nominated Supervisors and Educational Leaders to support a demonstrated commitment to Quality educational programs and a commitment to Quality Improvement across all St Nicholas services.


This position also plays an important role in supporting best practice and quality strategies and a commitment to professional development.

The role will assist with ensuring that all St Nicholas Services comply with the Educational and Care services national law and regulations, the National Quality Framework and other relevant legislation.

This position will be offered on a
permanent full-time basis.

Desired Skills and Experience:

EXPERIENCE/CRITERIA

  • Proven best practice ability in all areas of administrative procedure and curriculum development.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully implement the Early Years Learning Framework and My Time Our Place Framework with the centre/service.
  • Prior experience and demonstrated understanding of coaching and mentoring OOSH and early education services to ensure they are meeting programming quality areas to a high standard.
  • Proven ability to manage a large team in high quality service provision
  • Ability to manage complex situations including matters of escalation
  • Proven ability in supporting educators to demonstrate best practice in education and care
  • Prior experience and demonstrated understanding of auditing Early Education centres and OOSH services to ensure they are meeting all quality areas to a high standard

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Diploma of Early Childhood Education
  • Current Working with Children Check (WWCC)
  • Current Class C Driver's Licence
  • National Criminal History Check
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in a leadership position (Director, Educational Leader, Nominated Supervisor) (Desirable)
  • Bachelor of Early Childhood Teaching (currently studying or willingness to undertake) (Desirable)
