Our client is a major Australian infrastructure powerhouse, a stable business with a significant project portfolio and a team that is high performing, inclusive, with Zero Harm at the foundation of everything that they do.

Due to an increased work pipeline that will sustain over the next 5 years, our client is seeking to bring on board an enthusiastic Senior Track & Civil Engineer to join a team of 8 highly talent Engineers. This is a long-term, stable permanent full-time role.

This role will undertake Track & Civil design activities as directed, with a focus on minor works, and to undertake reviews/ checks of designs produced by others to ensure all principles and standards are met.

This role is offered on a Full-time permanent basis based in a CBD location.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the delivery of design activities relating to the development of Track & Civil design, including drawings, design reports, engineering calculations, and other outputs as necessary to provide assurance that the design meets safety requirements
  • Apply infrastructure, engineering standards and system specifications to prepare designs
  • Adherence to all legislative and regulatory requirements including conducting and participating in Safety in Design, risk assessments, and peer reviews as required.

Key Requirements

  • At least 5+ years' experience as a Senior Civil & Track Engineer. Experience consulting on Rail/Track Infrastructure will be highly regarded.
  • Demonstrated ability to conduct fault finding on complex electro-mechanical systems.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage with multiple Engineering and Business disciplines.
  • Ability to follow occupational health, safety and environmental procedures in the rail industry.
