Opportunity for a Project Officer to join the Crown Lands team who manage and sustain some of the most diverse and iconic land across NSW

Permanent full-time opportunity based out of our Newcastle office with flexible working arrangements. Location may be flexible across our other NSW Office locations by negotiation.

Salary relative to experience, and ranges from $101,947 to $112,849 + super


Crown Lands is currently seeking to appoint a
Project Officer to undertake project management and support activities to contribute to the development and delivery of a range of projects, including operational policy and procedure development and legislative reform within established objectives.


About You
As the Project Officer you will be responsible for but not limited to:

  • Assist with the development of the complaint's framework for Crown Land Managers (CLMs)
  • Undertake initial assessment of concerns of CLMs
  • Assist with the administration and facilitation of the "Supporting CLMs Community of Practice"
  • Assist with the Legislation Review project
  • Assist with CLM annual reporting increasing compliance and analysing submitted reports
  • Provide support to the insurance claims process
  • Other CLM governance tasks as required


To be successful, you will have previous project management and support experience, possess strong stakeholder engagement and relationship building skills with excellent communication skills both written and verbally.

You will be a strong team player and comfortable with managing a workload of competing priorities.
