The Role
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in Queanbeyan, NSW. You will play a vital role in providing high-quality nursing care and support to participants with disabilities, ensuring they receive the support they need to live independently and achieve their goals.
Responsibilities:
- Delivering person-centred medical and patient support care as outlined in NDIS plans and as per accepted standards
- Conducting comprehensive assessments by evaluating each participant's unique needs and responding to any of their queries to then develop individualised treatment and care plans
- Working collaboratively with participants, families, and other healthcare professionals
- Providing medication management and other clinical interventions
- Maintaining accurate and detailed documentation
- Contributing to a positive and inclusive work environment
- Liaising with other community groups, allied health professionals and welfare organisations to ensure the person being supported is linked and referred for appropriate care and support
- Developing support plans that meet the needs of the people being served
- Complex nursing care management where the person requires high-intensity support such as enteral feeding and wound management
- Administering medication and liaison with a range of other medical professionals and allied health professionals who form part of multidisciplinary teams, to support individuals with a disability to remain living in their own homes
Skills and Experience
- Registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA)
- Minimum 2 years experience in a disability support setting
- Excellent clinical skills and a strong understanding of the NDIS
- A commitment to person-centred care and a positive attitude
- Strong communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
What We Offer
- Competitive salary range of $120,000 to $130,000 per year (exclusive of superannuation)
