Eastern Health is one of Melbourne's largest public health services.
We provide a range of emergency, surgical, medical and general healthcare services, including maternity, palliative care, mental health, drug and alcohol, residential care, community health and state-wide specialist services to people and communities that are diverse in culture, age, socio-economic status, population and healthcare needs.
The Cardiology Department at Eastern Health provides invasive Cardiology services at Box Hill Hospital, and non-invasive Cardiology services at Box Hill, Angliss and Maroondah Hospitals.
Across all three sites, the Cardiology Department performs over 20,000 procedures each year, including echocardiography, percutaneous coronary intervention, cardiac CT, cardiac rhythm management and cardiac electrophysiology.
About the role
Based at Box Hill Hospital, the Administrative Team Leader and Accounts Officer is an exciting and diverse new role within the Cardiology Department in 2023.
Working with the Director of Cardiology and Chief Cardiac Physiologist, the role combines oversight and support of the administrative team, with facilitation of our automated billing services.
About youTo be successful in this role you will possess the following.
Essential skills
Previous experience in Medical Administration or Practice Management
Thorough knowledge of Medicare and non-compensable billing requirements
Desirable skills
Experience working with Information Systems such as HealthTrack, iPM, EMR and CPF
Holding or working towards formal qualifications such as a Diploma of Practice Management
Personal Attributes
Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
Supportive leadership style
Excellent attention to detail
Strong time management, prioritising and problem solving skills
Commitment to teamwork and optimal workplace efficiency and functioning
