An exciting opportunity has been presented for a highly skilled and motivated Import/ Operations Customer Services Coordinator in Tullamarine, on a permanent full-time basis.


As an Import/ Operations Customer Services Coordinator, you will play a crucial role in handling import shipments (FCL/LCL), liaising with carriers and service providers, and coordinating end-to-end solutions for customers.

Your focus will be on ensuring customer satisfaction, responding to inquiries, resolving issues, and identifying new opportunities.

You will also be responsible for day-to-day account performance and managing shipments from start to finish for ease of doing business.

Description

  • Manage POs, follow up on execution, and ensure timely job completion for invoicing.
  • Maintain and update the visual board, ensuring all tasks are completed within guidelines.
  • Identify additional customer needs and opportunities while maintaining standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Facilitate new quotes as required and maintain client rate cards on a regular basis.
  • Provide weekly reports on the current position, opportunities, threats, and profitability.
  • Handle LCL/FCL/Air and Sea shipments effectively.
  • Coordinate cartage for various shipments.
  • Facilitate communication between customers and relevant internal departments (customs, claims).
  • Track and trace international cargo, providing regular status reports.

Profile
To be considered for this role you will have

  • Minimum 1 year of experience as an Import or Export Freight Forwarder, with proficiency in Sea and Air freight operations (experience with Cargowise is essential).
  • Strong knowledge of import and operations processes, documentation, and customs regulations.
  • Excellent customer service skills focusing on problemsolving and timely solutions.
  • Proven ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritise effectively.
  • Proficient in using logistics software and systems.
