An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Import/Export Operations Coordinator to join this Australian owned and operated Transport & Logistics organisation.

They are a specialist in Freight Forwarding, Customs Brokerage and Logistics and renowned for their knowledge/expertise in moving freight globally whilst exceeding customer expectations.

Working in a friendly, positive and highly motivated team, your day will be busy and diverse.

Responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Coordination of freight movements for both air and sea shipments
  • Liaison with airlines, shipping lines, agencies and other relevant parties
  • Import documentation, lodging cargo automation, liaison with internal customs professionals and invoicing
  • Coordination of cargo collection and deliveries
  • Handling of phone inquiries and general administrative tasks on a daytoday basis
  • A reasonable understanding of the Freight Forwarding and Logistics industry
  • You will present with 13 years' experience in a similar role
  • Excellent communication skills
  • The ability to work to deadlines and manage multiple tasks
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to engage on all levels
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Outstanding organisational and time management skills
  • A team player with a 'can do' attitude
  • A sound working knowledge of the Microsoft Office
  • A knowledge of EDI Enterprise highly desirable
