About the role:


The APS5 Internal Review Officer -Planning is responsible for delivering a streamlined approach to manage the participant experience of internal reviews and the Agency's reputation.

You will assist participants who seek internal reviews and make decisions that are timely, consistent and clearly explained.

Responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

  • Work with participants to gather information regarding the nature and context of review requests, informing participants and their representatives about decisions, reviews and the appeals process.
  • Undertake evidencebased decision making as prescribed in the Agency Act, Agency rules, Operational Guidelines and Agency policies.
  • Monitor and manage caseloads, ensuring internal reviews are completed within set timeframes.
  • Contribute to quality improvement activities to enhance service delivery practice, processes and systems.

MANDATORY

  • Experience working in a similar role under Australian rules and regulations.
  • Good critical thinking skillset.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, and proficiency in the use of IT systems including Microsoft Office.
  • Demonstrated commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Current Police Check, o ability to obtain one.
