About the role Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, you will lead and drive TAFE NSW's financial control, governance, and compliance strategies.

This position requires a seasoned professional capable of overseeing various aspects of financial management, including external reporting, compliance with regulatory requirements, and the development of effective internal control mechanisms.

You will be able to create a strategy to leverage technology to improve functional service delivery and drive overall improvement to financial sustainability.

You will understand how to work in and build effective internal and external relationships, in an authorising environment.

You will align financial strategies with the broader organisational goals and strategic outcomes for TAFE NSW and the NSW Government Managing a high performing internal team and an outsourced shared serviced provider, you will monitor and govern KPIs and controls to ensure the integrity of financial operations.

This entails overseeing annual reports, audits, accounting policies, and facilitating major transactions and capital programs.

Moreover, you will play a crucial role in managing finance operations in a shared service model, enhancing efficiency and enabling teams to focus on value-added activities.

About You You possess a strong, demonstrated senior management background in financial management and regulatory compliance within a large complex organisation demonstrating exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to foster collaboration, drive performance, and promote a culture of integrity and excellence.
