We have an exciting opportunity for a Project Development Manager in the Power sector to join our Infrastructure Engineering team in Brisbane, Melbourne, or Perth on a full-time permanent basis.
Reporting to the General Manager of Infrastructure Engineering, you will play a crucial role in managing and carrying out development activities for power generation projects, from pre-concept to final investment decision. These projects may involve solar, wind, BESS, and gas-fired power generation technologies delivered on an EPC/D&C or multi-contract basis.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to create technically and commercially viable solutions for customer and internally generated projects
- Assess development challenges across all areas such as land, permitting, grid connections, and procurement while identifying risks and opportunities
- Establish a streamlined workflow to ensure project teams meet crucial milestones
- Manage external consultants to support project development
- Review deliverables to maintain an updated development plan
- Coordinate internal infrastructure development workstreams
- Work with BDMs and Infrastructure Delivery teams to manage relationships
Your Background
- Relevant Tertiary Qualification (Engineering, Project Management, Commerce)
- Experience in power generation and renewable energy sectors
- Leadership and management experience
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on innovation and improvement
- Knowledge in project progress evaluation
