This is an opportunity to work with a large, diverse values-based organisation leading a team of People & Culture Business Partners to build capacity across the business.


Reporting to the Senior Manager - P&C Partnerships, the Manager - P&C Partnerships is a true generalist role positioned within the P&C Partnership Leadership team and plays a pivotal role, partnering directly with Uniting Executive and Senior Leaders to provide specialist human resource strategies, advice and coaching in support of the achievement of organisational goals, the People & Culture Strategy and across the work lifecycle.


The Manager - P&C Partnerships will lead a team of Business Partners and will establish a high-performing team, building the capabilities needed to bring the P&C Strategy, operating model, and the Uniting workforce experience to life.

The scope of responsibilities for role includes, but are not limited to:

  • Strategic Business Partnering
  • Supporting and collaborating with Executive Leadership team and Senior Leaders
  • Developing Leadership Capability
  • Leading Projects, Change and Organisational Development Initiatives
  • Culture and workforce strategic and operational planning
  • Supporting, developing and coaching Leaders to manage employee relations matters
  • Team leadership & Business Partner Development

About you:

  • Tertiary qualifications in human resources/business/commerce/social science/psychology or equivalent experience.
  • Extensive generalist human resource experience in a Human Resource Manager or Senior Business Partner role
  • Experience across the full employee lifecycle with accountability for delivery of People & Culture outcomes
  • Experience working in a large, complex organisation
  • Strong business partnering skills as demonstrated in career background and experience, with proven ability to provide expert, contemporary human resources advice, coaching and support to executive and Senior Leaders to meet organisational objectives.
  • Exceptional leadership skills, with the ability to communicate a clear strategy and direction and support employees to achieve organisational and personal goals.
  • Demonstrated experience developing, managing and delivering change initiatives and workforce plans in a large and complex organization, with sound Industrial Relations (IR) and Employee Relations (ER) expertise, and working knowledge of relevant industrial law, regulations and procedures.
  • Experience working in a Not for Profit/ social services environment would be an advantage.
  • Mercer Evaluation qualified would be an advantage.
