Brine Street Child Care Centre is excited to announce a rare opportunity to join the team at Brine Street team in Hughesdale.

Brine Street is the only Council owned and managed Child Care Centre within the City of Monash.

We are a centre committed to excellence and have been rated under the National Quality Standards (NQS) as exceeding the National Quality Standards.


We are seeking a Kindergarten Teacher to work fulltime (38 hr/wk) with children aged 3 years within our Long Day Care setting.


About the Role:


You will be responsible for the implementation and delivery of a high quality 3-year-old kindergarten program responding to individual strengths and interests of children using an approved curriculum framework as the platform for planning, practice, evaluation and reflection.


About You:

Bachelor of Early Childhood Education

Current VIT registration

At least one year of work experience as an Early Childhood Teacher (preferred)

Current First Aid Certificates for an early year's education and care setting

Strong understanding of the Victorian Early Years Learning & Development Framework (VEYLDF), National Quality Standard (NQS) and National Quality Framework (NQF)

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

A commitment to using a strength-based, family centred approach to deliver an education and care program appropriate to the individual needs of children and families

A commitment to working in line with the team's People Principles (outlined in the position description)

Demonstrated ability to effectively lead and motivate staff and to work as part of a team.


Demonstrated ability to plan, implement and evaluate high quality, flexible and innovative educational program for all children aged four to six years old.

Capacity to provide a safe, sustainable and attractive environment for children.
