About the Role

An excellent career development opportunity has arisen for a Senior Financial Analyst to join the Santos team. Based at our Global Headquarters in Adelaide, this position reports to the Financial Controller Reporting and Systems and is primarily accountable for developing SAP and SAP Analysis Cloud (SAC) reporting across all finance groups, to improve the quality and efficiency of financial reports.

This role is part of a centralised Financial Services team that provides specialist finance SAP services to all finance operations across Santos.

Key accountabilities include:

  • Work with key Finance stakeholders to develop and maintain SAP and SAP Analysis Cloud (SAC) reporting solutions for the entire finance function across all locations.
  • Deliver monthly reporting requirements including dashboards and KPI reporting.
  • Analyse and deliver new solutions to improve reporting and the availability of data to end users based on requirements.
  • Assisting finance users with reporting requests and any functional specifications required for development requests.
  • Training and mentoring finance staff with reporting across SAP and SAC to ensure the efficient and effective use of the system.
  • Assist the Financial Controller – Reporting & Systems as required with key tasks & projects within Financial Services.
  • Assist with Database administration support for the planning system.
  • Assist with governing and maintaining SAP master data objects that facilitate reporting including hierarchies in S4 and reporting rules and definitions in Group Reporting.
  • Lead the completion of complex system control reconciliations such as Intercompany, including the resolution of issues with relevant stakeholders across the Business.
  • Lead process improvements to drive ideas/solutions that create a culture which encourages, and supports, continuous employee learning
About You

Holding a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or Information Systems, and ideally membership of CAANZ or CPA, it is essential that interested candidates can demonstrate the following skills and experience:

  • Extensive experience in Finance with extensive exposure to ERP systems
  • Extensive experience with reporting or planning systems such as SAC, Power BI, Jedox or similar.
  • Excellent communication and Stakeholder engagement skills
Further to this any experience in the following will be looked upon favourably:
  • SAC or Power BI reporting experience
  • Significant SAP Finance system knowledge
  • Advanced collaboration skills
