In this role you will be involved in the preparation of all ASX listed statutory reporting requirements including annual/ half yearly reports and quarterly activities reports, as well as preparation of monthly consolidated management accounts including board reporting with associated commentary for the executive leadership team. You will provide accounting and regulatory treatment guidance in compliance with IFRS and local regulatory standards. In addition, you will assist with the preparation of key accounting papers for the Audit and Risk Committee. You will also prepare and post technical accounting journals including refurbishment provision, share based payments, debt, foreign equity accounting investments, lease accounting and tax.

This role reports to the Finance and Commercial Manager and you will have a Financial Accountant reporting into you.

skills & requirements for the role

You must possess a CPA or CA, with a minimum 2 years of relevant Financial accounting experience in a similar ASX-listed company. As this role involves very technical accounting, candidates who have worked in the Big 4 prior to starting their commercial accounting career would be highly considered.
