Due to an internal promotion, Gunnedah Shire Council is seeking an experienced Project Manager to join the Infrastructure Services Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing a variety of infrastructure projects within the Shire. This is an opportunity to work for a progressive council, in a beautiful regional location, while making a true difference to the local community.

About the Role
  • Manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget and to a high-quality standard.
  • Develop project plans, schedules and high-level monthly reports.
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders, including contractors and community groups.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant policies and procedures, including workplace health and safety and contract management.
  • Manage project budgets, including monitoring and forecasting project expenditures.
  • Provide leadership to teams, including supporting staff development.
About the Person

Gunnedah Shire Council is seeking a strong, hands-on Project Manager with a tertiary qualification in Project Management (or a similar discipline). The ideal candidate will be a confident communicator, a collaborative team member, who has the ability to work autonomously and drive project delivery.
