ABOUT THE COMPANY.

This Council is located in the Southern region of Sydney. They are currently looking for a Project Manager - Design to join the Place Design team on a 6 month contract. You will be reporting to the Coordinator - Place Design and will liaise with various other teams such as the civil/structural engineering, planning and construction teams.

ABOUT THE POSITION.

As a Project Manager - Design, you will be responsible to manage Council's Infrastructure Program to ensure the designs comply with Council policies and practices. Play a key role in managing a significant Plaza project that worth up to $9 Billion. Additionally, you will manage external design consultants, manage procurement and maintain effective record keeping.

DUTIES.

  • Manage the design of significant Council's projects
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders
  • Prepare tender documentation and specification
  • Monitor key programs, budget, scope and quality parameters


SKILLS & EXPERIENCE.

  • Degree in Landscape Architecture, Architecture, Engineering, Building, Project Management or related
  • Class C Driver's License
  • Excellent design management experience or extensive consultant management experience
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Basic working knowledge of AutoCAD, Revit and Lumion
