What does the job entail?

Linfox's Intermodal division is currently in search of a Fleet Allocator to join our team based in Laverton North VIC. In this role, you will oversee load planning, scheduling, allocating assignments to drivers, and optimizing equipment usage across various regions. Additionally, you will handle data entry tasks and provide support to the team as needed. We are offering a full-time permanent position, Monday to Friday, from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Key responsibilities include:

  • Ensure proper maintenance of TMS systems, including data review and updates, geocoding, driver run sheet scrutiny, and addressing customer queries on potential schedule adjustments.
  • Efficiently organize daily routing, scheduling, and assignment of orders for both company-owned and subcontractor fleets.
  • Assist in enforcing Linfox's safety standards by engaging with on-site staff through communication and collaboration.
  • Guarantee compliance with national heavy vehicle legislation (NHVL) and uphold transport chain of responsibility protocols.
  • Foster a constructive and harmonious relationship between operational, transport, and administrative teams within Linfox as well as with customers.

  • Prior experience in a similar role within a transport operations setting.
  • Thorough understanding of fatigue management, load restraint, and mass management.
  • Demonstrated strong work ethic, industry passion, and a drive for continuous enhancement.
  • Familiarity with Microsoft and TMS/WMS systems is advantageous.
  • Capability to adapt to evolving demands and pressures.
